About the Project
This structure was carefully built around the tree after the artist, Andy Goldsworthy, had placed it into position. The installation, located in a Civil-war era powder magazine within the Presidio, was designed and executed to preserve the building.
Concrete material, steel stud wall with plywood, steel pipe and tube, steel mesh, painted wood paneling and trim.
